Location : -Bawangaja (Chool Giri) is an important Jain pilgrimage centre. It is 6 Kms from district headquarter Barwani. There are 11 temples on the hill and they belong to 15th century. It has world's tallest statue of Lord Adinathji.
Jain saints Kumbhakarna and Indrajeet were said to attain Nirvaan from this place only.
The village Barwani is at a distance of 6 kilometers to reach the Jain Siddha Kshetra Chulgiri (Bawangaja). The ascending road on the hill begins from this village. There are hundreds of steps for climbing the hill. Bus service and private vehicles are also available for going to and coming from the foot of the hill.
By cutting rock of one single mountain only this 84 feet high idol of lord Bhagwan Adinath has been made. The idol of Bhagwan Adinath is in Khadgasan mean standing posture. The height 84feet was considered 52(gaja) in the earlier days and accordingly it has been named as Bawangaja The color of the stone of the idol of Bhagwan Adinath is brown. The structural art & style of this idol is marvelous and it is in perfect proportion. Though no evidence is available but it is believed that this idol was made and installed nearly 3000 years ago. The monolithic idol of Bhagwan Adinath is a masterpiece of structural art & style. It is unique, splendid, very attractive and beautiful. It is difficult to find other one to match it. On the face of the idol of Bhagawan Adinath in the Kayotsarga posture, there are expressions of detachment and peace. It arouses deep devotion in the heart of the pilgrim.
Every twelfth year, the festival of Mahamastakabhisek is celebrated. On that occasion innumerable pilgrims come here from the whole of India and get the benefit of God’s worship. Nirvanutsav of Bhagwan Adinath – Magh Krishna-14; The Annual Fair is organized. There are other temples also at this Kshetra. Except 11 tonks and 15 temples on hill, there are other temples at the bottom of the hill as well. The 400 centimeters high idol of Bhagawan Shantinath in the Khadgasana posture is extremely ancient. The idol of Bhagwan Ajitnath carved artistically on a stone slab present here is also quite worth seeing. It is also famous that the saints namely inderjeet and kumbhkaran along with several others attained salvation from this place. From this hill one can see the river Narmada flowing in the front. Apart from the river this place has beautiful sights & green vegetation all around having picturesque view with waterfalls and garden having fruit bearing trees. The sunset point & the sunrise point are the main attraction at this Kshetra.

Ghantai Temple: The other Jain temple has a frieze, which depicts the 16 dreams of Mahavira’s mother, and a Jain goddess on a winged Garuda.. The Siddha Kshetra came up during 10th - 12th century and is famous for miraculous gigantic size statue of Bade Baba Bhagwan Adinath in sitting (Padmasana) posture 15 feet in height which is a piece of art rare in the world. This place is also known for salvation of Antim Kevali Shridhar Kevali. There is a cluster of 63 temples, the 40 being on the top of hill and the remaining at the valley. It is about 200 kilometers away from Nagpur (MP). It is located on the boarder of MadhyaPradesh and Maharashtra. There is a water fall having height about 250feet. Situated 97 km. from Betul are the Jain temples of Muktagiri. Betul is one of the marginally located southern districts of Madhya Pradesh, lying almost wholly on the Satpura plateau. It occupies nearly the whole width of the satpura range between the valley of the narmada on the north and the bearer plains on the south. The nearest station of Lalitpur is at a distance of 58 kilometers and Jhansi is at a distance of 96 kilometers. It is famous Jain pilgrimage centre, which attracts large number of Jain devotees. The village contains about 80 old Jain temples. Few Jain temples are under construction. The famous Jain temples of twenty four Tirthakars is the main attraction of devotees. This Kshetra is more than 800 years old and tirth can be known as a city of temples. Here are two underground basements; one of them has three idols. The idol of principal deity Bhagwan Adinath is made of shining Black stone very attractive 2 feet & 8 inch in height. Idols in sides are also in same color & stone. All the three idols were installed in V.S. 1202 and are oldest at this Kshetra. This place is famous for Atishay kshetra means miracle's area like (i) water suddenly comes out from a dry well: - Here is a well known as ‘Patrakhan Well’. It is said that an old women organized a party on completion of a big temple (Temple No.-1), suddenly the water of well finished and lack of water for guests was felt. Than that old women entered down in the well reached at the bottom. She than started the prayers with deep heart, a wonder than happened that water started flowing in well and as well as the old woman lifted from the well, the level of water also increased simultaneously. Thus the honor of that old sacred woman was kept. This well still exists near the mess of school here and many faithful devotees come here to be cured of fever and many other diseases by the water of this well. Similarly there are number of many other sayings. There are four renowned Temples No. 5, 7, 41 & 42. The Temples with in the basement are the oldest among these. Temple No. 7 & 41 are Meru Mandir, Meru Mandirs of same style are also seen at Aharji & Sonagiriji constructed in same period. Five temples belong to 17th & 18th century. Remaining temples are constructed letter. An important Jain fair is held in the month of Kartika sudi Purnima and is attended by over 10,000 devotees. It is managed by the trust.

Digamber Jain Siddha Shetra, Sonagiri Location: - Jhansi is about 45 Km, Datia 15 km (By Road) 15 km (By Train) and Gwalior is 75 km. This sacred Jain hill lies 3 km to the North West of Datia and is 5 km from the railway station. There are 77 Jain temples, built in rows on the hill and its slopes, and date back to the 17th century. Of these the temple dedicated to Chandranatha, the 8th of the 24 Tirthankaras, is quite a large one and the most beautiful. Sonagiri (literally, the golden peak) is a place sacred to Digambar Jains. This is a place where King Nanganag Kumar achieved liberation from the cycles of death and life along with the followers. There are several white Jain temples scattered around Sonagiri. This sacred place is popular among devotees & ascetic saints to practice for self-discipline, austerity, and to attain Nirvana (salvation). LORD CHANDRAPRABHU IDOL Out of the seventy-seven beautiful Jain temples over this hill and twenty-six temples in village, the temple number Fifty-seventh on hill is the main temple. This temple is vast in size, very beautiful and has attractive artistic spire. In this temple the principal deity is dedicated to The Lord Chandraprabhu ji, the 8th Teerthankar, eleven feet in height. Two other beautiful idols of Lord SheetalNath & Parsvnathji are installed.
Sonagiri Temple See more picture in picture gallery There is a column of dignity (Manstambh) 43 feet in height and an attractive model of Samavsharan. The samavsharan of Bhagwan Chandraprabhu came here for seventeen times. Nang, Anang, Chintagati, Pooranchand, Ashoksen, Shridatta and many other saints achieved salvation from here. This is the unique place known as Laghu Sammed Shikhar covering the area of 132 acres of two hills. The surroundings have pure natural environment. The scene of beautiful temples with high spires over hilly area looks very attractive and pleasing to eyes & mind. km by road. Shri Siddhaverkoot is an ancient sacred Siddha Kshetra surrounded by a series of hills full of natural beauty. From this place two Chakravarties, ten Kamdeos and number of saints achieved the salvation. It is said that the main temple no 13 known as bara mandir of Lord Sambhavnath (The 3rd Teerthankar) was searched out from the earth. Bhattarak Mahendrakeertiji of Indore searched this holy place. He dreamed this place in night of Month Kartik Krishna 14 V.S. 1935. He confirmed the dream from Jain texts and then searched the area & nearby forest according to dream. Thus he found the idols of Lord Chandraprabhu & Adinath and broken fragments of two or three temples also. Here is an idol of Bhagwan Chandraprabhu installed in V.S. 1545 and an ancient idol of Lord Adinath was installed in V.S. 11. There are 13 temples including images of feet, column of Dignity etc. The 6th temple is dedicated to two Chakravarties and ten Kamdeos and the 4th one is dedicated to the Lord Bahubali ji. . and location:-Shri Digamber Jain Siddha Kshetra Aharji A Village of Baldeogarh tehsil Ahar lies on the side of Tikamgarh-Chhattarpur road at a distance of 35 Km. from the district headquarters of the district. Regular buses are available to reach this place. It is evidently an old village said to have been populated by Jamalpur Ahars, which was once an important Jain Centre. Several ruins, Old images and temples are located here. This Siddha Kshetra Aharji is very ancient sacred place and very important for historical & archaeological aspects. Broken fragments of Jain idols & Jain temples are available here. The Village contain three old Jain temples one of these temple have an image of Bhagwan Shantinath ji, having height 20 feet.
